Keeley for Trustee

Preserve.Govern.Plan.Represent.

Palmer Lake’s character is its natural beauty, small-town identity, open spaces, unique neighborhoods, water, and quality of life. We must protect our lifestyle and values through responsible growth and development that represents our core values and those detailed in our Master Plan.

Demand Responsible Government

Responsible government must include transparency, fiscal responsibility, ethical leadership, open decision-making, stringent control of taxpayer dollars, and accountability. I understand that trustees aren't there simply to go along with whatever is put in front of them.

Preparing Palmer Lake for the future must include actionable plans for  infrastructure, water, roads, public safety, economic health, development, long-term planning, and preserving the town while preparing it for today's citizen and those who will come after.

BOT votes should always and ONLY be on behalf of the citizens.

Trustees are elected to represent residents and then work with all other officials and town leaders to get results.

Meetings should include respectful public input, disagreement, and collaboration.  NEVER should the tenor of a meeting be disrespectful, demeaning, or degrading.

My Colorado roots stretch back six generations, beginning with my great-grandfather, who worked his way from humble beginnings to become a railroad engineer in Buena Vista in the 1890s. A Colorado native and University of Colorado graduate, I spent 25 years in management, overseeing employees and day-to-day operations, participating in union negotiations, developing policies and procedures, and working with the State of Colorado on laws and regulations. I have also owned two small businesses.

Three years ago, I moved to Palmer Lake to be closer to my daughter and grandsons and found a place that truly feels like home. My heart has always been grounded in Colorado’s mountains, and I believe Palmer Lake’s natural beauty, character, and sense of community deserve thoughtful stewardship and protection for generations to come.
